• Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swamigal of Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam is the hereditary trustee of Shri Kamakshi Ambal Devasthanam at Kanchipuram.

• The entire pooja and other festivals of the temple are carried out in accordance with His Holiness instruction and as ordained in Sowbaghya Chintamani.

• Temple opening @ 5.30 a.m. 

After Goh Pooja and Viswarupa Darshanam, Kala Sandhi Abhishekam will be performed.             

 Abhishekams are performed three times as given below :

Golden Chariot is Pulled on every Friday, Tamil month 1^st day, Amavasya, Pournima etc. The Utsava murthis of Sri Kamakshi, Sridevi, and Boodevi are taken out in procession. The golden chariot is pulled along the inner prakaram.

Sandana Kappu is performed to the Moolavar on every Wednesday and Saturday.

Nava Varna Pooja is performed on every Poornima night and the devotees will not be allowed inside Gayathri Mandapam during pooja.

Saharasranama Archana is performed on all days after Utchikalam and if necessary after Sayaraksha Pooja. 

Kumkuma Archana is performed at Sri Chakram on all times.

Sharada Navarathiri and Vasantha Navarathiri are celebrated every year for nine days. Special Yaga Sala is put up on each occasion and Yaga Sala Pooja and Chandi Homam are performed.

Devotees are advised to pay the charges for the sevas they want to perform at Devasthanam office cash counter and obtain official receipts.
